The Position

In a cross-functional environment, the Instrument Integration Sub Chapter in RDS Core Lab Development Instrumentation Development is responsible for product definition, integration of hardware, software, consumables, and reagents, and the verification of diagnostic instruments (hardware and software) to deliver innovative, high-quality, and reliable medical devices that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in feature teams and support the definition of new features and functions by providing expert knowledge and ensuring clarity and testability of requirements and user stories.
  • Elaborate and define acceptance criteria with stakeholders to ensure an aligned decision base for the assessment of verification results.
  • Create, maintain, and review complex software test cases in all lifecycle phases, considering customer workflows.
  • Plan, execute, and document test cases, including defect reporting and support of root cause analysis.
  • Provide technical leadership to less experienced team members and share knowledge in the area of expertise.
  • Support test management to ensure timely availability of deliverables according to the project plan.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of work experience in a similar position and profound knowledge of processes and methods in verification and validation of systems, ideally in the regulated IVD environment.
  • Master's degree (MSc) or Bachelor's degree (BSc) in a relevant technical or biomedical field, such as informatics, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, life sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to contribute to team collaboration, inclusion, sharing ideas, and good team spirit, as well as mutual trust and respect (project team and sub chapter level).
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent education.
  • Advanced knowledge of test management tools.
