The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the health and safety function, including supervision of staff, ensuring delivery of objectives, and providing authoritative advice and guidance on health and safety matters to all stakeholders. You will also be responsible for reviewing and auditing arrangements for health and safety management, continuously improving these arrangements where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety Management: Manage the health and safety function at the fulfillment center, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.
- Collaborative Projects: Proactively engage in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health & safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
- Arrangements Review: Review and audit arrangements for health & safety management and continuously improve these arrangements where appropriate.
- Work Systems Planning: Provide strategies to plan and organize work systems to reduce health & safety risks and recommend suitable adaptations to plant, machinery, and processes.
- Reporting Regimes: Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for H&S statistics.
- Management Information: Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
- Change Management: Support business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced fulfillment center environment.
- Culture Change: Drive behavioral culture change program across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
- Policies Implementation: Implement and review company global safety policies ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health and Safety Manager who can lead our health and safety function and drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity. You will have a degree level qualification and a qualification in Técnico Superior en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales, including specializations in Seguridad en el Trabajo, Higiene Industrial y Ergonomía & Psicosociología aplicada. You will also have relevant experience managing a team and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
You will be an advanced proficient in verbal and written English and the local language, and have experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies. Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) is also desirable.
