We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Amazon Spain Fulfillment, S.L.U. in Barcelona, ESP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving improvements in safety, quality, and productivity across our Fulfillment Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the health and safety function at the FC, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.
- Proactively engage in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites.
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health & safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
- Review and audit arrangements for health & safety management and continuously improve these arrangements where appropriate.
- Provide strategies to plan and organise work systems to reduce health & safety risks and recommend suitable adaptations to plant, machinery, and processes.
- Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for H&S statistics.
- Provide management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
- Support business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced FC environment.
- Drive behavioural culture change programme across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
- Implement and review of company global safety policies ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a degree in a relevant field and a qualification in Técnico Superior en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales. You should have relevant experience managing a team and complying with local Health and Safety legislation. Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and the local language is also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies, qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability, and relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
