Job Title: Battery Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Battery Development Engineer to join our team at AVL Iberica. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of battery packs, designing and integrating E/E architectures, and generating DVPs for battery pack validation.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of battery packs, ensuring they meet the required specifications and performance standards.
  • Design and integrate E/E architectures, with a focus on intersystem communications, to ensure seamless interaction between battery pack components.
  • Generate DVPs (Design Verification Plans) for battery pack validation, ensuring that all testing and validation activities are properly planned and executed.
  • Conduct battery pack testing and analyze results to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed reports on development and testing activities, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements.
Your Profile:

We are looking for engineers with different levels of experience:

Junior Level:

No prior experience is required; recent graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Specialist Level:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in battery development.

Senior Level:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in battery development.

Expertise in some of the following areas:

  • Battery pack design - component
  • Battery pack design - system
  • E/E architecture, including intersystem communications
  • BMS (Battery Management System) - hardware
  • BMS - functions
  • Thermal management
  • Internal high-voltage cabling, including busbar

Proficiency in both Spanish and English is mandatory. Knowledge of French is desirable.

Availability to travel frequently (20% time) to the clients' facilities.
