The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Database team, you will be responsible for:
- Database Maintenance and Performance: Ensure the optimal performance and availability of our databases, including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Customer Requirements Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement customer requirements, resolve technical issues, and involve partner teams in problem resolution.
- Database Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain DB2 LUW instances and Microsoft SQL instances, ensuring compliance with security and access management policies.
- Compliance and Security: Manage the compliance process, including configuration-related security processes, access management, patch management, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Migration and Optimization: Collaborate with development teams to optimize processes and procedures, and manage migration processes to ensure seamless transitions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience: At least three years of experience managing Microsoft SQL databases in Windows environments and DB2 databases in Unix/Linux environments.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of scripting to automate processes, high availability environments (MS Sql Server Cluster, DB2 HADR), and basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, AIX, Linux), backup, monitoring, and storage.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English is essential, as you will be working with international teams.
