Database Administrator Job Description

Industrial And Financial Systems (IFS) is a leading provider of enterprise software solutions, and we're seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of Oracle Database-related services for our IFS Cloud Suite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily DB operations, following common and documented processes.
  • Act as a DBA resource to help perform daily duties and address issues with client systems.
  • Work as a final point of escalation for challenging issues with our database services.
  • Support internal and external teams during investigations and corrective actions.
  • Work with R&D to provide guidance and feedback to improve the IFS product set.
Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years' experience performing Oracle Database administration functions in cloud computing or enterprise IT service delivery.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing services or IT service management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience in a modern ticket/service desk tooling such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, or a similar tool.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in ITIL, ISO 20000, or a similar service delivery framework.
  • Experience in provision of cloud computing services or IT service delivery.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, OCP, MCSA, or vendor-provided technical certification.
Personal Qualities:
  • Citizens of the European Union or a corresponding work permit in Poland.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including business fluent English.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, targets, and needs of the role.
  • Ability to manage own time efficiently and effectively.
