About the Role

Glia is seeking a highly skilled IT Compliance Specialist to join our Information Security and Compliance Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting ongoing compliance activities and monitoring efforts across various regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in internal and external planning and execution of compliance attestations (SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR) with third-party attestation partners.
  • Collaborate in and observe remediation plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop new policies and procedures, as well as monitor and audit existing controls to ensure they are effective and up-to-date.
  • Conduct research and analysis on regulatory changes and industry developments to stay ahead of compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments on compliance matters to ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Assist in managing and monitoring third-party vendor and partner compliance to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare compliance reports and documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues or violations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential compliance risks to mitigate them.
  • Provide guidance and training to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Business-oriented compliance foundation with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with common IT security controls and best practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant IT compliance frameworks and regulations (SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Previous relevant experience in IT compliance, risk management, or a related field.
  • (Optional) Certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Associate.
