Project Engineer - Traction Control Systems

Siemens Mobility, S.L.U. is a leading company in transport solutions for over 160 years. We are constantly innovating our portfolio in rolling stock, rail automation, and electrification. As a Project Engineer in our Rolling Stock department in Madrid, you will be responsible for the development of traction control systems for vehicle platforms and specific projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine and document the requirements for the drive control software
  • Define the software architecture and document it with the help of modeling tools
  • Participate in the definition of the software design and implementation
  • Agree and document the system interfaces of the software
  • Design and describe the required software components based on the software requirements
  • Program the control software with the help of a graphic development tool
  • Integrate the control unit software on the target platform and document the functionality
  • Plan the entire software test
  • Monitor the quality of all intermediate results of the software development process
  • Determine the suitability of the completed software
Requirements:
  • Technical degree in electrical engineering, computer sciences, mechatronics, or a comparable field
  • Previous knowledge about the rolling stock business
  • Professional experience with structured software development in traction control systems
  • Traction system knowledge: traction converters and electrical motors
  • Fluent in English (at least C1-level or equivalent). Spanish is an advantage
