Project Engineer - Traction Control Systems

Siemens Mobility, S.L.U. is a leading company in transport solutions, innovating its portfolio in rolling stock, rail automation, and electrification. We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our Rolling Stock department in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine and document requirements for drive control software
  • Define software architecture and documentation using modeling tools
  • Participate in software design and implementation
  • Agree and document system interfaces of software
  • Design and describe software components based on software requirements
  • Program control software using graphic development tools
  • Integrate control unit software on target platform and document functionality
  • Plan software test and monitor quality of intermediate results
  • Determine suitability of completed software
  • Develop software tools and scripts
  • Organize and describe software configuration management
  • Elaborate and document development standards
Requirements:
  • Technical degree in electrical engineering, computer sciences, mechatronics, or comparable field
  • Previous knowledge of rolling stock business
  • Professional experience with structured software development in traction control systems
  • Traction system knowledge: traction converters and electrical motors
  • Fluent in English (C1-level or equivalent), Spanish is an advantage
