Supply Chain Planning Trainee

Werfen is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Planning Trainee to join our team in Barcelona, Spain.
About the RoleAs a Supply Planning Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of inventory management strategies, product segmentation, and safety stock parameterization. You will also provide support to the Supply team in analyzing purchasing needs for specific distribution centers and business units, and assist in feasibility analyses to automate the creation of orders.
Key Responsibilities- Learn and apply different variables and analyses required for planning purchasing needs.
- Calculate future purchasing needs and create orders in the system.
- Become familiar with historical data on consumption, sales, and forecasts.
- Assist in building a product segmentation that allows us to dimension different safety stock levels based on various variables.
- Support teams in the implementation of strategies.
- Aid in analyzing the suitability of automating the creation of orders for certain product categories.
- Collaborate with different supply planners, gaining knowledge of the various scenarios in each business unit, aiming to propose process harmonizations.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or Supply Chain, and advanced proficiency in English.
While prior experience is not required, it is a plus. Proficiency in analytical tools, such as Excel, Minitab, Python, and Power BI, is also a plus.
