Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Company: Hella Automotive Mexico S.A. De C.V.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising accounting and tax activities, ensuring the integrity of financial information, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise accounting and tax activities to ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulations and group policies.
  • Reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial analyses and reports.
  • Support AP & AR, performing supplier invoice validation and cancellation control in coordination with the Shared Service Center team.
  • Ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulations, managing indirect tax filings timely and meeting all local compliance requirements.
  • Design, document, implement, and execute internal controls to ensure transactions and balances are accurately reported.
  • Assist with annual audit preparations, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant for at least 5 years.
  • In-depth knowledge of Spanish accounting and tax laws.
  • Knowledge of IFRS GAAP.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Experience in SAP ERP (nice-to-have).
