About the Role

Etihad Airways is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Cargo Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of cargo operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate cargo operations, including freighter handling and ramp supervision.
  • Plan and oversee key activities, routes, and products to ensure compliance with performance requirements.
  • Ensure the safe, secure, and on-time delivery of high-profile shipments.
  • Drive and improve freighter OTP in a challenging environment.
  • Establish best practices to achieve revenue budget targets and support service delivery, cost savings, and compliance with safety and security regulations.
  • Lead and establish best practices to maximize flight capacity and review processes for improvement.
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and advice to staff to upgrade their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with Etihad procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure work progress and services comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage special services and products, including VIP shipments, from acceptance to customer delivery.
  • Interface with airport authorities to gain support for Etihad initiatives.
  • Make day-to-day operational decisions to manage and mitigate operational safety and security-related risks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent in logistics, operations management, or related discipline.
  • Successful completion of cargo and dangerous goods courses.
  • At least 3 years of cargo operations experience, including freighter handling and team management.
  • Good understanding of computer airfreight specifications and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of freighter aircraft and cargo handling systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
