Job Overview:
Summary
You will be an integral part of the Controllership team at ESET DXC Technology Servicios España S.L.U., reporting directly to the Financial Controller of the country. Your role will involve overseeing various legal entities, enhancing financial processes, and contributing innovative ideas to improve accounting reports.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and validity of the financial balances of the subsidiaries under ESET DXC Technology in Spain, from both statutory and reporting perspectives. This will involve direct interaction with internal and external auditors, as well as providing support during any tax inspection processes that may arise within these entities.
You will collaborate closely with the Controllership team located in Spain and Poland, as well as with other departments and shared service centers distributed globally.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of annual financial statements for the Spanish subsidiaries in accordance with the General Accounting Plan. Lead various internal financial reporting processes. Act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors, preparing the necessary documentation as requested. Regularly communicate with all departments to gather evidence supporting the reasonableness of balance sheet figures in compliance with legal requirements. Analyze trends in the balance sheet and income statement, identifying potential discrepancies and proposing corrective actions. Create ad hoc presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Assist operational teams in providing information or resolving financial inquiries. Suggest improvements in processes and controls. Actively participate in special projects and corporate initiatives with a focus on accounting and finance. Support the tax team during inspections by the Tax Agency.Education and Experience
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Experience with PowerBI or other business intelligence tools is desirable. Over three years of experience in accounting and/or finance. Previous experience in auditing at a senior level (preferably with a Big Four firm).Knowledge and Skills
Expert knowledge of the General Accounting Plan. Familiarity with USGAAP (desirable). Understanding of accounting processes and techniques. Proficiency in using ERP systems such as SAP (desirable). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to find solutions. High proficiency in spoken and written English (C1 level). Willingness to travel occasionally (nationally).-
