Senior Product Manager - Embedded Banking
We are seeking a candidate who possesses a deep passion for financial products and technology, particularly in the innovation of new features and functionalities. You will be part of the Bank Accounts team within our Platforms and Financial Services division, responsible for developing financial products that meet the expectations of our diverse clientele, ranging from large partner platforms to medium-sized local merchants and major international enterprises.
As the Senior Product Manager for Embedded Banking, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the success of our embedded bank accounts offering for large commerce platforms. Following the acquisition of a European banking license in 2017, Adyen established its own banking entity, which is a fundamental component in processing payments. We are now expanding our services to large commerce platforms through our banking solutions.
You will lead the future development of our offerings from conception through to launch, ensuring a fully operational product that delights customers globally. Collaboration with commercial teams and clients will be essential to articulate our offerings and translate their feedback into actionable product enhancements alongside our development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be tasked with rolling out and optimizing embedded banking services for some of the largest brands worldwide;
- You will oversee the end-to-end management of our banking product, becoming a subject matter expert;
- Regular interaction with customers will be necessary to translate their needs into product requirements, driving solutions, prioritization, and roadmapping;
- You will scope and deliver technical projects aimed at developing financial products that cater to our global customer base;
- Collaboration with engineers and various teams within Adyen, as well as external partners, will be crucial to ensure the best offerings for our clients.
Qualifications for Success
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in embedded banking products within a fintech or financial services context, with a proven track record in scaling treasury products.
- Experience in product management for embedded banking solutions across various jurisdictions is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Treasury Products such as Banking as a Service, bank transfers (SEPA, RT1, etc.), Confirmation of Payee, and Bank Statements (CAMT, MT940, etc.) is essential.
- A general understanding of the latest trends in the Banking as a Service sector, extending beyond just banking offerings.
- Proven experience in launching and scaling products in the Banking as a Service domain with measurable impact.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop a vision and collaborate with engineering teams for implementation.
- Strong project management skills, with a hands-on approach to taking ownership and control over projects, effectively managing priorities to ensure timely completion.
- Proficiency in managing a project portfolio, capable of creating, motivating, and holding accountable cross-functional teams necessary for product development and launch.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and engage with both internal and external stakeholders from diverse disciplines and cultures.
- A track record of identifying significant revenue opportunities and persuading senior executives to invest in your product strategy.
- A strong sense of initiative and self-motivation that will contribute to the growth of a dynamic business.
