About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Embedded Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging access control solutions for our customers. Your expertise in Java and embedded systems will enable you to contribute to the development of our firmware and software products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop firmware and software solutions for access control systems using Java and embedded Linux OS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address system requirements, business processes, and changing development environments.
  • Implement solutions that conform to system architecture and maintain high-quality development results.
  • Create technical documentation and prepare content for product documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in embedded systems and Java development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English (B2 level minimum).
  • At least 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong expertise in Java and embedded systems programming.
  • Proficiency in Linux systems and command-line interface.
  • Knowledge of security protocols for connected devices and communication between devices.
  • Experience with measurement tools for analyzing protocols and familiarity with schematic circuit diagrams.
  • Knowledge of databases optimized for embedded systems (e.g., SQLite).
  • Good coding practices and test automation skills.
  • Good comprehension of object-oriented programming paradigm.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in C/C++ and Python programming languages.
  • Knowledge of RFID technologies (e.g., MIFARE or LEGIC).
  • Experience working under Scrum or SAFe frameworks.
  • DevOps skills and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • German language proficiency.
