About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Embedded Systems Developer to join our team at Dormakaba International Holding Ag. As a leading global provider of access solutions, we enable seamless movement within secure, safe, and sustainable places.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, code, test, debug, and customize Access Control solutions for our business and external clients.
  • Focus on firmware development in C and embedded Linux OS, with experience in C++ and Java also requested.
  • Apply industry standards, best practices, and advanced methodologies to address system requirements, business processes, and changing development environments.
  • Maintain and review development results for compliance with specifications, correctness, and freedom from errors.
  • Create technical documentation and prepare content for product documentation.
Requirements
  • A degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Fluency in English (B2 skill minimum).
  • At least 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Solid experience in design and implementation of firmware for embedded systems programming in Java.
  • Proficiency in Linux systems and the Command Line Interface.
  • Security for connected devices and skills to use measurement tools for analyzing protocols.
  • Knowledge in data bases optimized for embedded systems (e.g. SQLite).
  • Good comprehension of OOP programming paradigm and good communications skills.
  • Passionate and committed, with a customer-centricity mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in C/C++.
  • Experience in Python.
  • Knowledge in RFID technologies (e.g. MIFARE or LEGIC).
  • Experience working under Scrum or SAFe frameworks, or open to work under such Agile frameworks.
  • Knowledge about DevOps and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
