Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Technician to join our team in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. As a Research Technician, you will provide technical support to complete projects undertaken in the lab under the supervision of the Study Manager or Lab Manager in charge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to complete projects undertaken in the lab.
  • Isolate and culture hair follicle, skin, and/or annexes for different projects.
  • Fix and embed tissue.
  • Perform various immunohistochemical and immunofluorescence stains.
  • Use immunofluorescence and light microscopy.
  • Take images and perform image analysis using various programs.
  • Organize the lab, including forward planning and logistics regarding samples, equipment, and materials.
  • Participate in scientific lab meetings.
Qualifications
  • Completed training as a Medical / Biological-technical assistant or an honors bachelor degree in a relevant subject or an advanced student in a related field.
  • Experience in biological research laboratories and with laboratory techniques.
  • Good knowledge of Computer Skills and Microsoft Office.
  • Sound knowledge of English (Company language: English) (language in the lab: Spanish).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good coordination, time management, data collection, and analysis.
  • Flexibility.
  • Candidates with documented know-how and experience in immunohistochemistry and routine histology will be preferred.
  • Candidates with documented know-how and experience in skin and/or hair research will be preferred.
