Job Title: Principal Clinical Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Clinical Data Engineer to join our team at Bayer. As a key member of our Data Science and Analytics department, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of clinical data processing solutions using Medidata and Oracle product suites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical strategies for data processing and management in clinical trials
  • Lead the setup of technical tools and utilities for data receipt and management
  • Design and execute tasks governed by technical standards and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and standardize requirements for integration implementation
  • Participate in validation activities related to software utilities and integrations release

Requirements:

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10 years of experience in design and development of tools and utilities on commonly used technology platforms
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in programming languages such as C#, SQL, PL/SQL, JAVA, SAS
  • Knowledge and experience in clinical trial start-up, conduct, and close-out activities and associated technical best practices
  • Hands-on experience with tools and utilities for management of pharmaceutical sponsor proprietary or industry clinical data standards
  • Understanding of industry standards on integration technology such as web services
