As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U., you will be an integral part of our R&D Team, contributing to innovative projects focused on the mechanical efficiency of dry transformers. Your role will be pivotal in driving research and development initiatives at our South Europe Technology Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and implement standardization projects to enhance manufacturing processes globally.
- Evaluate existing designs and operational procedures across various facilities, proposing enhancements to boost productivity through advanced technologies.
- Assess the implications of design modifications and integrate these changes into comprehensive technical, material, and production standards.
- Collaborate with technical specialists from different facilities to address and resolve engineering challenges.
- Maintain thorough documentation of changes, ensuring adherence to established workflows and utilizing document management systems effectively.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the implementation of changes.
- Conduct training sessions for design engineers and prepare relevant training materials.
- Provide timely technical assistance to manufacturing plants, sales teams, and clients.
- Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, demonstrating accountability for your actions while fostering a supportive environment for colleagues and the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in dry-type transformer technology.
- Proficient in applying external (IEC, IEEE, etc.) and internal standards and regulations.
- Capable of interpreting technical documentation and engineering drawings.
- Skilled in making informed technical decisions within your area of expertise.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling software is advantageous.
- Experience with document management systems is a plus.
- Strong team collaboration skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and excellent communication abilities.
- Proficient in both Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal skills.
