As a Research Associate within Boston Consulting Group's Data and Research Services (DRS) function, you will play a critical role in supporting our European DRS team. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality secondary research, contributing to BCG's client work and knowledge base by assisting with proposals, client cases, and business or internal development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on commercial, multi-industry, and economic topics, synthesizing and packaging findings in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage a variety of research requests, accurately summarizing data and facts into appropriate and timely output formats, such as reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
- Support research products, including news alerts, company profiles, and other knowledge capture and documentation initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior team members, consulting teams, and knowledge teams to understand, scope, and deliver accurate, timely, and relevant data and information.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or sciences.
- 0-2 years of relevant working experience in Industrial Goods topics, preferably in Greentech & Engineered Products, such as industrial automation, machinery, and components, mechanical engineering.
- Excellent English and Spanish language skills, with fluency in German preferred.
- Ability to work with a wide array of office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to provide insights in a user-friendly format.
The Data and Research Services (DRS) function is a dynamic and highly visible center of excellence focused on business research and process innovation. We collaborate with our consulting teams to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. DRS provides specialist research services to consulting teams and our Knowledge Team, taking deep pride in developing rapid and precise results.
DRS works with both qualitative and quantitative data, conducting research and providing synthesized results from over 100 commercial sources, publicly available data, company and industry research, macro-economic, commodities, and trade data.
