About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our Data and Research Services (DRS) team at Boston Consulting Group. As a Research Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting our consulting teams with high-quality research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on a range of media and technology-related topics, synthesizing and packaging findings into timely and accurate reports.
  • Support research products, including news alerts, company profiles, and other data-driven deliverables.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to engage with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored research solutions.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge capture and documentation systems to ensure seamless knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Work closely with outsourcing partners to guide research analysis and ensure quality assurance.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in business, technology, or media (or related field).
  • Strong understanding and interest in technology-related topics, including software, IT services, semiconductors, and consumer tech.
  • 0-2 years of relevant working experience in market research, consulting, or the TMT sector.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with additional languages (such as German) a plus.

The Data and Research Services (DRS) function is a dynamic and highly visible center of excellence focused on business research and process innovation. We collaborate with our consulting teams to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients.

DRS provides specialist research services to consulting teams and our Knowledge Team, taking deep pride in developing rapid and precise results. We work with both qualitative and quantitative data, conducting research and providing synthesized results from over 100 commercial sources, publicly available data, company and industry research, macro-economic, commodities, and trade data.
