The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D Software Engineer (Mid) / Project Technical Lead to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will participate in innovative research projects that aim to improve the quality of people's lives and the efficiency of provided social services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Project Management: Lead and manage projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Project's Effort Allocation and Task Plan: Allocate resources and create task plans to ensure project progress and success.
  • Projects' Technical Specification Definition and Architecture Design: Define technical specifications and design architectures for projects, ensuring alignment with user requirements and software engineering best practices.
  • Software Engineering: Develop reusable and scalable backend services, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to software engineering standards.
  • Testing, Maintenance, and Improvement: Test, maintain, and improve software functionality and performance, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Documentation: Document application changes and software updates, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • BSc degree in Computer Science (MSc studies will be highly appreciated).
  • Proven working experience (2-3 years) in back-end software development.
  • Solid experience as a Software Engineer in back-end technologies: Python, Flask or Django, or Fast.
  • Microservices architecture, SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Proven experience and competence in software engineering and design.
  • Great familiarity in: Git, Docker, Shell Scripting.
  • Working experience in Research / H2020 Projects, will be highly appreciated.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience or Interest in DevOps tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions will be appreciated.
  • Experience in research and innovation projects will be appreciated.
