Job Summary

Ansys is seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing software modules, services, and sub-systems in the area of multi-physics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-performance software modules, services, and sub-systems in the area of multi-physics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Perform bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products.
  • Research and develop solutions to problems discovered by QA or product support.
  • Work under the general supervision of a development manager.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years' experience, MS with 3 years' experience, or PhD with 1 year experience.
  • Working experience in technical software development via academic, research, or industry experience.
  • Good understanding and skills in C++ and Python programming.
  • Problem-solving oriented.
  • Understanding of physics (mechanics, electronics, or fluid mechanics).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge and experience with Finite Element simulation, CAD modeling.
  • Passion for crafting robust and efficient code.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
