Position: Senior Pipeline Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, test, deploy, and document proprietary software used in concurrent film productions.
  2. Analyze and assess existing workflows and procedures related to the company's pipeline.
  3. Liaise with various teams to resolve problems with hardware, software products, or company software systems.
  4. Stay up-to-date with current methodologies, technology trends, and tools that best suit the production and the company.
  5. Train end-users to operate new or modified programs.
  6. Work with the team to provide support, guidance, and instruction.
  7. Proactively identify risks and problems in the current system and propose improvements.
  8. Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
  9. Follow the guidance of supervisors and leads.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 5+ years of working experience, preferably in animation.
  • Solid engineering skills with an appreciation for code quality, technical debt management, and code craft.
  • Ability to work in a team to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong knowledge of writing efficient and performant code in Python3+.
  • Familiarity with task management systems/frameworks like Agile Sprint, Jira, Scrums, Daily Standups, etc.

Tech Stack:

Knowledge of:

  • Production front-end systems and libraries.
  • Production pipelines using USD and its integration into various applications.
  • PyQt, PySide.
  • ASWF libraries.
  • Familiarity working with REZ.
