Technical UI Designer

We're seeking a skilled Technical UI Designer to join our team at 31St Union. As a key member of our game development team, you'll be responsible for crafting the user interface systems that will take our online multiplayer gaming experience to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement UI features and building-blocks, including widgets, menus, and dynamic animations.
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, producers, engineers, and other teams to bring approved UX wireframes to life in-engine using visual scripting (Blueprints).
  • Monitor and improve UI implementation to ensure a world-class user experience at scale.
  • Identify, implement, document, and advocate UI Blueprint architecture best practices and workflows to improve team effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with new tools and processes, and proactively learn and research new technologies to elevate the quality of UI deliverables and improve workflow.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine and Blueprint scripting.
  • Ability to analyze and solve sophisticated technical and design problems.
  • Experience building complex real-time user interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of data flows and organization.
  • Ability to learn and ramp up on new tools and processes quickly.
  • Ability to iterate and collaborate under deadlines and production constraints.
  • In-Engine UI Materials knowledge is a major plus.
  • AAA Game experience, preferably in UI, is a plus.
  • Programming experience (C++, C#, etc.) is a plus.
