Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to join our team and contribute to the creation of a rich and immersive interactive experience that balances the needs of gameplay design and art direction. As a UI/UX Designer at 2K Games, you'll have a significant role in shaping the user experience and visual language to support both the art and overall game design on our project.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement user interface designs that demonstrate a strong grasp and understanding of the needs of UI in an interactive game experience.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, art, and engineering, to ensure seamless integration of UI/UX elements.
  3. Work closely with development partners to prioritize, plan, and organize UI asset creation, ensuring delivery of Triple-A game quality visuals.
  4. Utilize prototyping software (e.g. Adobe XD, Balsamiq, Axure RP, Figma) to create interactive prototypes and test user experience.
  5. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of game engines (e.g. UE4, Unity) and design toolsets, with a focus on scripting knowledge (Blueprints or other).
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design, and apply this knowledge to improve our game's user experience.
  7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure that UI/UX designs meet project requirements and are aligned with the overall game vision.

Requirements

  1. Strong UI abilities and a deep understanding of the needs of UI in an interactive game experience.
  2. Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  3. Excellent communication and writing skills.
  4. Experience with prototyping software and game engines (e.g. UE4, Unity).
  5. Scripting knowledge (Blueprints or other) is a major plus.
  6. Proficiency in production software such as Photoshop, Illustrator (or equivalent software for asset generation).
  7. Able to work and communicate in English.
