Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a critical role in performing and managing the accounting processes related to investment funds. This position is designed for a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in accounting who can ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, compliance with regulatory standards, and the timely delivery of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Statement Preparation: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and properly classified in alignment with fundcraft's catalogue of booking entries and established procedures.
- Financial Reporting: Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, with a focus on maintaining standardisation and data accuracy within the fundcraft platform.
- Accounting Process Management: Manage daily reconciliations ensuring discrepancies are resolved and entries are booked, and computing income distributions and supporting capital activity.
- Financial Analysis: Review, and when necessary, prepare Financial Statements with footnotes and respond to audit requests.
- Team Support: Provide assistance to team members in execution of daily operational activities and ensure procedures, controls, and best practice documentation are adhered to and supporting updates.
- Client Liaison: Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that client needs are met.
- Qualifications: Degree in Business or Finance, Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, or CA), or working towards Qualification.
- Experience: 4 - 6 years of working experience in funds industry.
- Language: English: fluent level (spoken and written).
- Luxembourg Fund Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Luxembourg fund industry and its regulatory requirements.
- Interest in New Technologies: Interest in new technologies and their application in fund operations.
- Spanish Language Skills: Spanish: fluent level (spoken and written).
- Ownership and Accountability: Ability to take ownership of your work and a 'Getting-Things-Done' mindset.
- Dynamic and Proactive Work Ethic: Dynamic and proactive work ethic with willingness to go the extra mile.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Be adaptable, flexible, a strong team player, and an active listener.
