Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Verisk. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our Consulting and Client Services Team in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for working across various Verisk products, with a primary focus on the Analyze Re Product Suite.
Key Responsibilities- Client Advocacy: Serve as an ambassador of Verisk and the Analyze Re Product Suite, acting as a customer advocate for our clients and prospective customers.
- Technical Support: Respond to client questions in a timely manner and help bring them to a speedy and accurate resolution by working collaboratively with our internal teams.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with platform users within our clients; learn their workflows and objectives, and provide proactive service to help them avoid pitfalls and to leverage our solutions optimally.
- Training and Development: Deliver trainings to new and existing clients across the full range of our solutions to an audience with a mixed experience level.
- Onboarding Support: Support customers during the onboarding period, working in close coordination with the Project Manager and other onboarding project stakeholders.
- Product Change Management: Support product change management efforts when releases and new features are introduced in our platform.
- Business Development Support: Support our business development team in sales efforts in both a technical and a pre-sales support capacity, inclusive of leading and organizing demos of various Verisk products, with a primary focus on the Analyze Re Product Suite, for prospective and existing customers.
- Risk Analysis: Perform a wide range of risk analyses in support of consulting projects, client support, and internal initiatives.
- Representation: Represent Analyze Re in a range of forums including conferences, industry events, media opportunities, and one-on-one meetings.
- Client Service Focus: Client service focused with the ability to manage multiple competing tasks.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, actuarial science, business, or computer science preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years' experience in consulting, reinsurance, or insurance field considered an asset.
- Actuarial or Underwriting Experience: Actuarial or underwriting industry experience a plus.
- Technical Skills: Excellent skills in Excel. Experience using tools such as Python or C# considered an asset.
- Communication Skills: Experience working directly with customers managing deliverables considered an asset.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of statistics and business practices. Detailed and results-oriented. Proactive problem-solving skills and a logical mindset.
- Teamwork: Effectively communicate with team members.
- Flexibility: Some work outside of traditional office hours may be required.
- International Travel: Some international travel required, within North America & Europe.
