The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our Fincrime team. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products and processes adhere to all regulatory and quality standard requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validating regulatory obligations and ensuring they are mapped to existing controls
  • Analyzing regulatory and legislative text to understand specific obligations that apply to financial institutions
  • Verifying the existence and documentation of controls to meet regulatory requirements
  • Reviewing the quality and documentation of decisions made by Escalation officers, FinCrime SMEs, and Compliance Managers
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members
  • Mentoring less-experienced colleagues
  • Providing well-informed recommendations for improving existing processes
  • Paying attention to detail through reviewing work performed by FinCrime regulatory SMEs
  • Communicating observations and feedback to stakeholders
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience working in a Financial Crime area across the three lines of defence
  • Experience in interpreting texts from laws or regulations, preferably Financial Services related ones
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing and providing constructive feedback on the work of peers or team members
  • Ability to clearly communicate and detail risks and issues
  • Knowledge of best practice FinCrime controls used in the industry
  • Results-driven, pragmatic, and detail-oriented approach
  • Fluency in English, mainly in legal vernacular, both written and spoken
