About the Opportunity

The Compliance team at N26 Spanish Branch plays a crucial role in ensuring the company's growth aligns with regulatory requirements. As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a high-quality and proactive approach to compliance, working closely with stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of applicable local regulations, conducting screenings and assessments for new regulations.
  • Provide assessments on regulatory risks and required safeguards prior to the launch of new products or partnerships.
  • Design and monitor the local compliance plan, including the execution of periodical controls and follow-up.
  • Organize and co-lead periodical local compliance committees, providing insights in international compliance forums.
  • Support communication with national and international regulatory authorities.
  • Contribute to the local implementation of the Group-wide MaRisk.
  • Act as the main local Compliance point of contact and interface for other areas, such as Risk, Finance, People, Audit, Board Office, and Legal.
  • Manage group internal audits conducted in the Branch.
  • Enhance and support the development of the local compliance management system, including oversight and support for Compliance-related policies and procedures, trainings, and reporting.
Requirements
  • More than 5 years of experience in the financial services industry or consultancy with a focus on advisory/audit on laws, regulations, and rules that govern a bank with an international footprint.
  • Master's degree in law, economics, or equivalent with strong knowledge of European and Spanish laws, regulations, and rules that govern a bank with an international footprint.
  • Postgraduate compliance training (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional) is beneficial.
