Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembler 1st Line Technician to join our team at Trc Talent Solutions. As an Assembler 1st Line Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and installing components and subassemblies in accordance with production specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret production drawings and work orders to determine assembly requirements and specifications.
  • Position and align parts in specified relationships to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
  • Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • Mount assembled components to boards or units.
  • Install multi-level subassemblies and modules into racks using complex configurations.
  • Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
  • Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
  • Tend machines that press, shape, or wind component parts.
  • Perform online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Set up station with the correct documents and components per assembly drawing.
  • Handle/installs polarized/non-polarized components on designated location or project.
  • Adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristics.
  • Assist in performing repair work.
  • Communicate any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors, and/or engineers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production line machinery.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Physical ability to lift and move components and equipment.
