Job Title: Account Executive

CMC Markets Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for providing exceptional relationship management, business development, and execution services to a portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a self-directed business strategy to grow retail and institutional trading volumes.
  • Leverage existing contacts to generate revenue and promote CMC's CFD/Spread Bet offering.
  • Follow up on prospective leads, explaining unique selling points to optimize CMC's market position.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Drive client growth through a leading-edge proposition.
  • Enhance business through client referrals, networking, and industry contacts.
  • Attend sales events and create material for clients/prospects as required.
  • Work with local teams to drive acquisition, retention, and trading activity for clients.
Account Management:
  • Provide proactive end-to-end relationship management to clients.
  • Assist team members in analyzing and understanding CMC Markets' USPs and competitors.
  • Identify opportunities to educate clients on products and services.
  • Apply individual insight to improve the service proposition for clients.
  • Take ownership of client experience through all touch points in the client lifecycle.
  • Execute retention plans to maximize client life cycle.
  • Provide a clear, fair, and consistent high-quality service that presents a professional image of CMC Markets.
Product Management:
  • Be the product and platform expert for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across CMC to ensure client requirements are identified and relevant IT and trading platform solutions are offered.
  • Educate clients on the use of CMC's platform, systems, and trading processes to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
Media:
  • Provide ad-hoc media commentary, both written and verbal, as a selling point for the service.
  • Provide insightful, directed, and knowledgeable market commentary for PR purposes.
Compliance:
  • Understand and adhere to local and global compliance guidelines and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role.
Requirements:
  • Have built great contacts within the CFD/FX sector.
  • Have a portable client base.
  • Demonstrate a keen interest and understanding of the financial markets and industry.
  • Have a high degree of self-motivation and ambition.
  • Be proactive, positive, and flexible in teamwork.
  • Have a strong ability to sell.
  • Be a hard-working individual with a real passion for talking to people about derivatives trading and other margin trading products.
  • Have knowledge and awareness of competitors within the CFD sector.
  • Have commercial awareness to identify good leads and business opportunities for partnerships.
  • Have strong experience in financial sales, with experience of dealing with companies within the CFD sector.
  • Be extremely motivated with great attention to detail.
  • Be highly articulate, both in person and in writing, with the ability to communicate with and sell to clients of differing backgrounds.
