Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations Department as a User Support specialist on AI projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing and adapting scientific application codes to new pre-exascale architectures and systems, focusing on AI applications and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize and adapt scientific application codes to new pre-exascale architectures and systems, focusing on AI applications and technologies.
- Improve the performance of existing AI environments, enhancing serial efficiency and scalability, modifying code as necessary, or assisting developers with required modifications.
- Choose and adapt algorithms and/or library routines to improve applications for specific computer architectures (accelerators, new programming models, etc.)
About the Role:
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is a leading supercomputing center in Europe, hosting one of the biggest supercomputers in Europe within the framework of EUROHPC-JU. The pre-exascale machine at BSC, named MareNostrum 5, delivers a sustained performance of 205 PFlops, with over 180 PFlops powered by the latest NVIDIA technology using H100 GPUs.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI, Linux systems, and high-performance computing, with experience in optimizing and adapting scientific application codes to new architectures and systems. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also essential for this role.
