Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer to manage our current computing infrastructure and design the next-generation systems. The ideal candidate will ensure our infrastructure is reliable, controlled, flexible, and scalable, while also enhancing and optimizing our current systems.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the existing computing infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing computing infrastructure, leveraging new technologies and practices.
- Implement automation and optimization techniques to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure robust security and compliance with industry regulations, particularly FDA guidelines for medical devices.
- Mentor and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Design and implement computing future infrastructure:
- Evaluate the existing infrastructure to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Design the architecture for the future infrastructure, ensuring robustness, flexibility, and scalability.
- Create a detailed roadmap outlining steps and timelines for transitioning to the new infrastructure.
- Oversee the deployment of the new infrastructure, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- +5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and system administration, with a proven track record in designing and managing large-scale, high-performance computing environments.
- Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated environments is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of network architecture, server management, cloud computing, and storage solutions.
- Experience in virtualization, containerization, and orchestration tools.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- Hands-on experience with system administration, including server setup, network configuration, security management, and automation scripting in Linux, Windows, and networking.
- 26 vacation days per year + 24th and 31th of December.
