Job Summary

David Kennedy Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of German SME clients and driving business growth through strategic account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for your client portfolio, focusing on portfolio growth and long-term account retention.
  • Identify client needs and sell value-added services to create greater customer engagement.
  • Proactively manage an effective pipeline, identifying and prioritizing opportunities to achieve and exceed profitable growth targets.
  • Consistently seek out new sources for expansion opportunities, such as self-generated leads, client referrals, and subsidiaries or sister companies.
  • Deliver premium value to clients, aligned with their goals, and achieve customer advocacy.
  • Understand client opportunities, threats, and risks to maintain and grow relationships.

Requirements:

  • Native level German and fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Background working for/in the German Market.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on achieving and exceeding targets and goals.
  • Challenger mindset with the ability to think creatively to identify new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members to maximize individual and company performance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including German native language skills and fluency in English, with the ability to speak confidently with senior executives and influence decision-makers.
  • Ability to quickly gain an in-depth understanding of each client's needs to drive results and identify new business opportunities.
  • Previous experience in a sales role is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and consultative sales skills.
  • Ability to drive innovation and change.
