As a key member of a diverse development team, the Senior 3D Art Supervisor will work closely with the Studio Art Director to define artistic objectives for various projects. This role involves overseeing the art team's output, mentoring team members, and ensuring that production standards are met while guiding the development of the game.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess whether the created assets comply with the technical 3D specifications and methodologies.
- Propose effective solutions as needed to achieve project goals.
- Assist team members in enhancing their skills.
- Support the team with their ongoing tasks whenever feasible.
- Maintain and update documentation related to our 3D processes.
- Manage the seasonal 3D production orders and monitor the 3D backlog to identify any discrepancies or missing details.
- Oversee and delegate the resolution of team-related issues.
- Provide progress reports to the Associate Producer regarding the team's work.
- Engage in performance evaluations and contribute to the assessment of 3D team members.
- Act as a liaison for discussions between R6 Art Direction, Technical Direction, and the Strategy Team.
- Collaborate with other leads and team members.
- Lead the 3D team, fostering a culture of quality, creativity, and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a Senior/Lead Artist position within the video game industry.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with strong leadership skills and effective delegation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across various departments.
- Strong skills in modeling, UV unwrapping, and texturing.
- Proficient in 3Ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Designer.
- Understanding of technical constraints related to real-time rendering, 3D engines, and level design tools.
- Ability to comprehend the specific pipeline requirements for R6 Customization and recommend enhancements.
- Open to feedback and capable of adapting work based on artistic critiques.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Genuine passion for video games and extensive knowledge of various game genres across platforms.
- Positive attitude and a collaborative team spirit.
- Willingness to learn from others and share knowledge.
- Familiarity with Rainbow Six Siege or experience in MTX asset production is advantageous.
