Cloud Transformation Solutions Architect

The experts within Professional Services assist clients in architecting, deploying, integrating, and operationalizing solutions across the VMware by Broadcom portfolio.

Professional Services collaborates with clients to understand their desired outcomes and assess current capabilities, competencies, and culture, enabling clients to effectively communicate their strategies to stakeholders and business leaders.

The Cloud Transformation role centers on the consumers of VMware by Broadcom technology services, capabilities, and platform products, including Line of Business Owners, Developers, and Application Owners, to comprehend their business outcomes and needs, and subsequently collaborate with technology providers and operators to maximize the platform's potential and deliver appropriate value.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes you will strive to achieve in the first 6-12 months?

  • Articulate the business value of the Private Cloud to C-Level, VP, and Director-level executives, formulating a strategy and prioritized backlog with IT Executives and Management to realize the platform vision.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to identify problems, challenges, and opportunities that need addressing to enhance platform efficiency and service, collaborating with subject matter experts to develop an incremental plan encompassing people, processes, and technology.
  • Utilize principles such as embedded observability, automation, and simplification to guide platform operations and delivery teams towards providing a more efficient or LEAN platform and services aligned with business outcomes.
  • The Cloud Transformation Solutions Architect is a strategic role that integrates strategy consulting, thought leadership, and IT transformation sales support into a delivery role.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be utilizing regularly?

  • Strategically collaborate with sales, pre-sales, and clients to develop customer transformation journeys and delivery roadmaps.
  • Contribute to scoping and supporting Transformation sales opportunities, creating high-quality business cases, statements of work, and customer use cases for governing and operating private cloud solutions.
  • Evaluate customer practices and operating models, define improvement roadmaps, and assist clients in implementing recommendations using industry best practices while promoting the adoption of VMware solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops designed to drive customer outcomes within projects, influencing business and IT strategy through the delivery of Transformation Consulting service offerings.
  • Develop, contribute to, and promote awareness of Transformation Consulting Portfolio Services and delivery best practices.
  • Design and implement modern practices utilizing industry-recognized frameworks, such as ITIL, DevOps, SCRUM, Agile, etc.
  • Support team growth by contributing to delivery excellence training, cross-team collaboration, and knowledge sharing of best practices.
  • Acquire a high-level technical understanding of the VMware product line and stay informed about future product directions.
  • Establish strong working relationships with VMware strategic account teams, sales leadership, professional services, product management, and executive staff to enhance awareness of the Transformation Consulting service across regions.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.

Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will involve a mix of working from a local VMware by Broadcom office and remote work based on preferences and arrangements determined by management. Employees are expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the office and be available for travel across the assigned region.
