About the Role
Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Operations Specialist to join our Global Procurement Shared Services team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in supporting the EU procurement and business teams by delivering operational purchasing tasks and assignments.
Main Responsibilities
- Process daily remedy tickets and web requisitions to ensure seamless procurement operations.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and manufacturers, to resolve queries and issues.
- Set up and maintain supplier master data for the procurement network, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Work in full compliance with Amazon's Spending and Transaction policy to maintain the highest standards of procurement excellence.
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance procurement processes and efficiency.
- Conduct and verify Sustainability, Safety, and Corporate Social Responsibility compliance for suppliers, ensuring alignment with Amazon's values.
- Manage escalations related to supplier compliance issues and create regular supplier compliance reports to identify improvement areas.
A Day in the Life
As a Procurement Operations Specialist, you will review incoming Vendor Onboarding requests to ensure suppliers are compliant with Amazon's Sustainability and Safety policies. You will engage with internal stakeholders for support and follow up with suppliers on critical tasks to finalize onboardings successfully. You will partner with other team members across the organization to work on projects aiming to improve processes. You will perform analysis on a set of suppliers to validate their compliance and look for remediation, and you will engage in support of broad initiatives aiming to improve the supplier base.
About the Team
Our Global Procurement Shared Services team is a diverse, multicultural team that values individual backgrounds and experiences. Our purpose is to provide efficiencies to other teams under the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) by driving the execution of the process we host and raising the bar on service level.
Requirements
- B2/C1 English level
- Knowledge in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, ORACLE, Coupa) in large organizations
- Knowledge in MS Office – in particular MS Excel
