About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Mygwork, an inclusive employer and a member of the LGBTQ+ business community, as an Underwriting Assistant - Cyber Specialist. As a key member of the Underwriting Operations team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient underwriting processes and providing exceptional customer service to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Underwriting Support
  • Enter and update policy information in the policy administration system.
  • Gather information for new business and renewal quoting.
  • Liaise with brokers and clients to resolve queries.
  • Prepare quote and rating tools for underwriters.
  • Verify data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Produce quote documentation.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as photocopying, logging, and scanning.
  • Assist with risk analysis and underwriting guidelines.
  • Confirm pricing and binding conditions.
  • Issue new and renewal quotes, binders, and policies.
  • Manage midterm account activities.
  • Interact with other teams on matters affecting accounts.
  • Attend underwriting training and meetings.
  • Produce reports on account portfolios.
  • Support team standards by assisting other underwriting assistants.
  • Prepare and issue policy documents.
  • Oversee mid-term adjustments.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Broker/Client Interaction
  • Provide professional service to brokers and clients via email, phone, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries.
  • Maintain and develop key relationships by responding to client queries.
Requirements
  1. Fluency in English and other languages based on regional business requirements.
  2. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  3. Accurate and numerate.
  4. Computer skills - good working knowledge of MS Office.
  5. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  6. Effective communication skills (written, verbal, active listening).
  7. Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize.
  8. Capable and comfortable with high-volume data entry.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Proven administrative experience in the insurance or financial services sectors.
  2. Proven background in accurate, high-volume data entry.
  3. Underwriting Assistant experience is advantageous.
