Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Legal Counsel with expertise in intellectual property, technology, and software law to enhance our legal department. The successful candidate will deliver expert legal counsel and strategic direction on issues pertaining to intellectual property, software licensing, technology agreements, media contracts, and associated regulatory matters, directly reporting to the Head of Legal.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and oversee contracts with clients across various business units and subsidiaries.
- Manage the drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of software and hardware-related agreements (licenses, development, manufacturing, etc.).
- Oversee contracts with suppliers for all business units and subsidiaries.
- Draft, review, and negotiate licensing and advertising agreements.
- Advise product teams on legal issues related to IP and software.
- Ensure adherence to media regulations, including standards for advertising, broadcasting, and content distribution.
- Provide legal guidance on data privacy and compliance matters.
- Assist with other legal projects as required by the team.
Qualifications
Technical Requirements
- Licensed to practice law, preferably in Spain or Andorra.
- Master's degree in IT/IP Law.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the IT sector at a prominent law firm or corporate legal department.
- In-depth knowledge of Intellectual Property, New Technologies, Software Law, and Media Law.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing software contracts and other IP-related agreements.
- Ability to manage multiple legal projects efficiently and accurately.
- Capability to provide comprehensive advice across various legal domains.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for offering practical legal solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
