Tree Trimmer Assistant

At Wright Tree Service, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tree Trimmer Trainee to join our team. As a Tree Trimmer Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting experienced tree trimmers in performing various tasks related to tree care and maintenance.

• Assist in the use of chainsaws to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris, and/or feed brush into a wood chipper.
• Gather brush and carry it to the chipper area.
• Work around hazardous equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Assist in enforcing on-the-job safety practices for crew members.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

• Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Needs to be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times per day.
• Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work tasks.
• Must be able to write, read, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.
• Must be able to communicate with others and represent Wright Tree Service in a professional manner.
• Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
• Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces. Must be able to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
