Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for coordinating with Product Development and conducting Sourcing and Procurement for all assigned product categories.

Key Responsibilities

1. Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement category strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
2. Procurement Process Management: Ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements. Develop KPIs to measure effectiveness of category strategy and activities.
3. Market Analysis and Benchmarking: Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify industry trends, potential suppliers, and competitive pricing. Provide insights and recommendations.

Procurement Operations

1. Supplier Setup and Management: Establish and manage a network of reliable suppliers. Oversee the onboarding process, including supplier visits, contract negotiations, compliance checks, and performance evaluations.
2. Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, focusing on securing favorable terms and conditions. Manage contract renewals, amendments, and compliance.
3. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
4. Supplier Relationship and Performance Management: Supplier selection, visit, management, and evaluation, in coordination with Product Engineering & Quality, to assure desired level of service and capacity.

Category Enablement And Maintenance

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders (incl. product development/engineering, finance, and operations teams) to understand their needs and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
2. Participation in full cycle of Purchasing Project Management: from product design until EOP, going through sourcing, proto phase, homologation, and serial life management.
3. Improvement plans: Active search of manufacturing improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
2. 5+ years of experience in procurement and category management, preferably in a technology startup or fast-paced environment.
3. Proven track record of setting up and managing suppliers and categories from scratch.
4. International experience, with proven track record of setting up different regions.
