Position Overview

The HR Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and scoping to successful delivery and evaluation of various HR-related initiatives. These may include significant undertakings such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and operational enhancements within HR, as well as cross-departmental programs. The HR Project Manager collaborates closely with the HR Operations Leader and other HR Centers of Excellence (COE) Leaders to ensure that all HR projects align with the strategic goals and objectives of the organization, while also being delivered punctually, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish the scope, objectives, and deliverables for cross-functional HR projects, and create comprehensive project plans and timelines.
  • Coordinate and oversee project resources, including both internal teams and external partners, vendors, and consultants.
  • Monitor and assess project progress, performance, and potential risks, providing updates and addressing issues with the HR COE Leader and other essential stakeholders.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members and across departments.
  • Ensure project outcomes meet the expectations of the HR COE Leader and other key stakeholders, adhering to relevant policies, standards, and regulations.
  • Analyze project results and impacts, documenting lessons learned and best practices for future reference.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience managing HR or related projects, with a preference for experience in HR technology initiatives.
  • Professional certification in project management, such as PMP, is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, practices, and systems.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in international settings and with virtual teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management software, Smartsheet, and HR software.
