Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Buyer to join our Global Non IT Procurement team at Allianz Popular Sl. in Barcelona. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the worldwide strategic procurement of services and products for the Allianz Group in the Marketing and Communication category.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal marketing teams to identify sourcing opportunities and improve outcomes for Allianz key marketing activities.
- Manage global marketing sub-categories, including call centers and related global suppliers, through contract negotiations and utilization of the SAP ARIBA purchasing tool.
- Analyze national, regional, and international procurement markets, benchmark best practices, and consider total cost of ownership.
- Identify cost reduction projects within Marketing through detailed spend analysis.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to create value for stakeholders and ensure compliance with company and industry-specific requirements.
- Project manage, including strategic planning and implementation of tenders, involving various departments and national companies.
- Manage supplier relationships, contracts, KPIs, and feedback sessions.
- Collaborate with Allianz Business teams to identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost savings.
- Develop innovative negotiation methods and advise on purchasing processes and market dynamics.
- Apply classic and agile project management methods and conduct strategic spend analysis to optimize sourcing strategies and maximize value for money.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in marketing procurement for an international operating company or in global project management in a matrix environment.
- Successfully completed master studies in a commercial or technical area, marketing/business studies advantageous.
- Strong experience in engaging Allianz Operating Entities (Oes) to collaboratively fulfill Group Procurement and other overarching targets.
- Ability to influence others without authority.
- Autonomous style of working, collaborative, and team-oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience working in environments with highly complex international teams and proven analytical, strategic, and management skills.
- Competence to effectively align with different stakeholders and cooperate with diverse internal and external senior audiences.
- Hands-on approach, involving necessary skills/functions to successfully accomplish tasks and targets.
- Excellent communication skills in English and fluent in German is a plus.
