Key Responsibilities- Manage Complex Legal Issues: Provide clear and pragmatic legal advice on complex commercial contracts and transactions.
- Review and Draft Contracts: Review, draft, negotiate, and conclude vendor contracts and customer contracts, ensuring compliance with TD SYNNEX's policies.
- Develop Precedent Contracts: Create precedent contracts and forms to streamline our contracting process.
- Identify Management Information Requirements: Identify management information requirements for measuring legal risk exposure and performance for internal productivity.
- Ensure High-Quality Legal Service: Ensure that legal service and support provided to the business is of the highest standard and ensures client satisfaction.
- Control Legal Risk: Identify and control all aspects of legal risk in the implementation of all contracts and internal systems and procedures.
- Support Other Legal Duties: Support any other legal duties as required by your line manager.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Requirements: Maintain knowledge of data protection, competition law, environmental law, and regulatory compliance.
- Attorney in Good Standing: Be an attorney in good standing with 5-8 years of experience and a commercial background.
- Autonomy and Guidance: Ability to work largely autonomously, with guidance and support from the direct manager and the Transactional group's management team.
- Previous In-House Experience: Previous In-House experience is essential, in addition to experience in commercial contracts.
- High-Level Thinking and Problem-Solving: High level of thinking and problem-solving capability, capable of working under heavy stress and shifting priorities.
- Organizational Skills: Organized, methodical, and able to work closely with all parts of the business.
- Time Management: Ability to execute against tight deadlines and high expectations in a high-pressure environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills; mastery of English and French required, additional languages desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
- Organization and Time Management: Strong organization, time, and task management skills.
- Can-Do Attitude: A can-do attitude towards getting the job done.
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and concisely verbally and in writing at all levels.
