About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy Construction Project Manager to join our team at Prologis. As a key member of our Europe Energy Team, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of Energy developments from design through construction and handoff to operation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Coordination: Coordinate all construction-related deliverables from project introduction through construction and commissioning, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Prologis standards.
  2. Project Leadership: Lead the project team, including consultants and contractors, to develop the works within Prologis specifications, budget, and schedules.
  3. Reporting and Communication: Prepare and assist in the preparation of reporting that captures major project milestones, risks, notes, and other key project information for internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Contract Management: Oversee contractors and vendors to confirm that the budget, scope, schedule, grid connection, permits, customer requirements, quality, and safety standards have been met throughout project execution.
  5. Risk Management: Proactively work to mitigate risks, including critical path management, determining when to secure materials, tracking utility and jurisdiction timelines and requirements, coordinating logistics obstacles, etc.
  6. Change Order Management: Manage construction-related contracting, deliverables, and change order reviews from project introduction through construction and commissioning.
  7. Design and Innovation: Research design and construction specifications, innovations, and value engineering opportunities and work with the technical solution architect to implement to enhance and futureproof Prologis' buildings without compromising functionality or life cycle costs.
  8. Stakeholder Management
  9. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring proper coordination and communication takes place.
  10. Collaboration and Partnership: Partner with local sales leads on energy proposals as needed to assist with construction/execution-related questions, including staging, safety, budget, schedule, etc.
  11. Quality and Safety: Ensure quality and safety standards are being followed.
  12. Design Review and Approval: Review and manage technical specifications, designs, scopes of work, commissioning reports, and other project-related documents.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience leading and managing construction projects preferably for a solar, storage, and/or EV charging developer.
  2. Education: Min. BSc in Engineering, preferably electrical, mechanical, or civil.
  3. Skills: Experience in managing complex multi-site portfolios, due diligence, contract negotiation, and international markets in the renewable energy industry. Fluent English, Spanish, and French communication skills, both written and verbal.
  4. Certifications: Project Management certification such as PMI, IPMA, or similar is a plus.
  5. Travel: Able to travel up to 40% of the time. Based in Spain (Madrid or Barcelona) and in the future also France.
