About the Role

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Data Engineer to join our team at Importante Empresa. As a key member of our Life Sciences Department, you will play a crucial role in establishing a new team focused on Health Data Research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data processing pipelines to support our research initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain data models, ensuring standardization and interoperability with external APIs.
  • Collaborate with our team to integrate our developments with external systems, ensuring seamless data exchange.
  • Develop and test microservices, ensuring high-quality data and optimal performance.
  • Monitor and analyze data metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
  • Oversee the activities of junior team members, ensuring alignment with business objectives and vision.
  • Document and publish data and software under FAIR standards.

Requirements

  • MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, or Bioinformatics.
  • Experience in data engineering methodologies, with a strong focus on data quality and FAIR data principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including SQL and Python.
  • Experience with container development using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
