Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Ring Device Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable software systems that power our Ring devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement distributed systems and microservices to support our Ring devices
- Develop robust and maintainable code with clear and concise documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer value through iterative development and continuous improvement
- Communicate status and changes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability
- Implement test automation and ensure high-quality code through unit testing and integration testing
Requirements
- Professional experience in software development, with a strong background in object-oriented design and programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
