Position: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Elecnor Deimos. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in various projects related to structural design and analysis, particularly focusing on ground support equipment. This role also involves contributing to CubeSat and minisat missions by defining, executing, and reporting on AIT campaigns.

Main Responsibilities:

The individual in this role will assist Elecnor Deimos throughout the entire lifecycle of space structures and ground support equipment, including the AIV phase.

Educational Background:

A Master’s degree in Aerospace or Industrial Engineering is preferred.

Professional Experience:

Candidates should have 0-3 years of experience in relevant positions.

Technical Skills Required:

The ideal candidate must demonstrate adaptability to new technologies and languages. While not all skills are mandatory, familiarity with the following is advantageous:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the lifecycle of space structures from specification to manufacturing and verification.
  • Proficiency in space analysis and design tools such as CATIA v5, Nastran/Patran.
  • Awareness of New Space methodologies and techniques.
  • Understanding of AIV/AIT processes as applied to space missions.
  • Experience in drafting relevant design and requirements documentation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with systems and subsystems related to CubeSats.
  • Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
  • Understanding of micro vibrations in space systems.
  • Proficiency in technical writing, including user-facing documentation.

Language Proficiency:

A minimum of B2 level in English is required.
