Join Our Team as a Junior Spacecraft Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Spacecraft Design Engineer to join our team at Deimos. As a key member of our design engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our current and upcoming projects regarding design engineering activities for space systems and satellite platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support Deimos in several projects regarding the design of various satellite platforms proposing adequate design solutions.
  • Participate in the support activities for production and industrialization of the designs and drawings generated.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop cutting-edge technologies for earth observation or communication satellites as well as scientific missions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD design and drawings generation using CATIA or other CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft mechanical design, including product tree, composite structures, tolerances, and fixations.
  • Experience in writing relevant design documentation, including design description reports, ICDs, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Detailed knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, thermal, or propulsion systems.
  • Knowledge of New Space approach and techniques.
  • Knowledge of low-level integration and manufacturing techniques.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of spacecraft analysis and design tools, such as NASTRAN/PATRAN, ESATAN, and FASTRAD.
  • Knowledge of MBSE philosophy.
  • Technical writing skills, including user-facing documentation.

English (B2 level as minimum)
